Job description: The Office Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact between patients and our office. The job requires a dedicated, enthusiastic employee who enjoys problem solving and helping others. As a patient, managing in today’s medical world is difficult. Job duties include:
- answering multiple phone lines, scanning, filing, faxing
- checking patients in and out
- verifying insurance benefits
- requesting and tracking physician orders and medical records
- obtaining pre-authorizations
- collecting and posting patient payments
- verify patient product inventory
- manage patient scheduling
- maintaining patient EMR
